  • Ken Lord sees bright future for the industry

    After nearly ten years working in a number of account management and business development roles, Ken Lord has just taken up the job of leading Juniper Networks’ operations in New Zealand, as he takes over from Ian Quinn as the company’s new country manager. Quinn has since been promoted to an APAC role, as director of Converged Supercore.

  • Endace eyeing US for growth

    New Zealand-based vendor of network monitoring and recording products Endace has hired former Juniper VP Spencer Greene to head a new team the company is setting up in San Francisco, US.

  • Juniper turns new leaf with resellers

    Juniper Networks says it hasn’t been paying enough attention to partners and 2012 is the year to change that. The company had its first global partner conference in Las Vegas last month where it announced a range of new initiatives being rolled out to its worldwide network of partners over the next few months.

  • Juniper bolsters New Zealand staff

    Juniper Networks appointed three new staff members here between October and January, in anticipation of increased activity this year. The company hired Raj Unnikrishnan as commercial account manager, Dave Sharples as systems engineer and Alex Grant as partner account manager. Juniper will draw on its experience to help the new staff amplify the company’s current presence in two markets by fostering channel relationships.

    Juniper Networks has announced the launch of its Continuing Education Program, a new training program for partners, focused on cloud networking, security, switching, routing and mobility.

  • Datastor secures Juniper prize

    Juniper Networks has awarded Datastor its ANZ Distributor of the Year prize at this year’s trans-Tasman partner summit in Sydney, held in late July. According to Juniper, Datastor’s award was based on three main criteria: the number of new partners signed, business growth and growth in certifications. Datastor managing director Dave Rosenberg says the award recognises its strength in the networking space. “This is a fantastic achievement for Datastor and the Juniper team. It is a great result, not only beating our competitors in New Zealand but also in Australia and is a strong endorsement for our networking business.” Datastor also recently won the Symantec Distributor of the Year award for Asia Pacific and Japan, and was given an All Star award from Websense.
