    Nutanix recently took to the seas for a Christmas Cruise around Sydney Harbour with its Australia and New Zealand staff, customers and partners to celebrate a stellar year for the vendor. With the sun out, they were all smiles and mingled over drinks and food.

    ShoreTel recently brought together its A/NZ channel partners at the Kirribilli Club at Sydney’s Lavender Bay for an update on the company’s regional and global strategy. The event featured presentations from ShoreTel’s chief marketing officer, Mark Roberts; Asia-Pacific vice-president and managing director, Frédéric Gillant; and A/NZ managing director, Jamie Romanin. A highlight of the event was ShoreTel’s inaugural A/NZ partner awards, with Flexnet, One Solution, Telstra, Reliance Communications, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Aerus Technologies all recognised for their achievements in 2015. The formal proceedings were followed up with ShoreTel’s Christmas party, giving partners the opportunity to celebrate a successful year with the vendor.

    Distribution Central recently hosted a launch event for its DC CloudSelect Marketplace at Studio in Sydney Tower. Besides literally getting as close to the Cloud as possible in one of the highest buildings in Sydney, its channel partners were also given a short presentation around Cloud trends and a demo of the DC solution, followed by drinks and canapes. A demo pod was also set up for guests that were interested to have an onsite demonstration.

    Computer accessories and high-end peripherals distributor, Anyware Corporation, recently celebrated 10 years of operations in New Zealand. To mark the occasion, the company hosted a birthday party at its Penrose office in Auckland, where its staff, resellers and partners mingled over food and drinks. Two lucky visitors made their way home with new iPads, courtesy of a door prize, and the winner of a month-long competition claimed the major prize - more than $3000 worth of product. Anyware manager director, Garrison Huang, also shared his vision on future cooperation between Anyware and its business partners and the company’s strategy for the next few years.
