IBM on Tuesday reported quarterly sales growth across all its major divisions and raised its earnings outlook for the full year, the latest sign that business spending in the IT sector continues to recover.
Enfinit Software expects to boost its client numbers after forming a partnership with IMS Payroll, which will see the integration of the timesheeting application in TimeFiler and a web front end for online access to timesheets, leave requests and rosters. Enfinit aims for a five fold increase in clients by offering the extended functionality, while IMS predicts a 10 percent rise in its customer base. "By seamlessly integrating our payroll software with applications like TimeFiler, we can offer customers the functionality they want at an affordable price," says IMS sales manager Patrick Hegarty. He claims other 'one stop shop' payroll and HR systems are too expensive and don't interface well. "The cost of developing and maintaining add-on functionality that is not core to the original application has to be passed on to the customer." Enfinit Software is housed at the Canterbury Innovation Incubator and commercialised its TimeFiler timesheeting software in August 2008. Customers include TNS Asia Pacific, Solid Energy, Colmar Brunton, Canterbury Meat Packers, New Zealand Aviation Security, Mercy Hospital, Christchurch International Airport and iDesign. The integrated package will be launched to customers and resellers next month, and the firms say there is already extensive interest among their client bases, with a number of orders received.
