In pictures: Microsoft honours the NZ channel at partner awards

Microsoft NZ honoured its channel community at the 2013 Partner Awards that took place last evening in Auckland's Langham Hotel. A total of 22 awards were given out across four main categories including Cloud, Competency, Individual and Segment. Partners with strong cloud solutions and projects dominated the event, including SoftSource, which picked up three awards, and Gen-i and IT Engine, which collected two awards each.Speaking at the event, Paul Muckleston, MD of Microsoft NZ, promised two Azure data centres in Australia soon for partners to tap into and provide computing power to their customers.

  • Theta won Business Intelligence Partner of the Year.

  • Enlighten Designs took home Collaboration and Content Partner of the Year award.

  • Datacom was awarded Cloud Enterprise partner award for the year.

  • Distributor Partner of the Year award belonged to the team at Express Data.

  • The team from Provoke, Doug Taylor, Mason Pratt, Catherine Fitzgerald, Brendon Ford and Richard Penny, took home the Windows Azure award.

  • (From LtoR) Brent Eddy, Elizabeth Kirby, Sandi Dunn and John Harrop from SoftSource collected three awards last night, including Mid-market Solution Provider, Sales Specialist of the Year and Cloud SMB.

  • The team from Insight won Volume Licensing Partner of the Year award.

  • Marker Metro walked away with Windows 8 App Developer Partner of the Year award.

  • Learning Partner of the Year was taken home by Auldhouse

  • NV Interactive won Innovative Technology for Good Citizenship Partner of the Year award.

  • The Education Partner prize was won by Cyclone.

  • Computer Concepts Limited's Daniel van Trierum took home the Pre-Sales Technical Specialist award, one of the two new awards instituted this year.

  • Intergen walked away with Enterprise Resource Planning Partner of the Year prize.

  • Koorb Consulting won Customer Relationship Management Partner of the Year award.

  • Telecom’s digital solutions division Gen-i won the award for Communications Competency and Devices and Deployment partner awards.

  • IT Engine won Server Platform Partner and Small Business partner awards.
