Overture Services Australia re-brands to Yahoo! Search Marketing
Rebranding facilitates launch of Advertising Solutions centre – new portal to Australia’s largest set of search and brand advertising solutions
SYDNEY, February 27, 2006: Overture Services Australia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yahoo Inc., today announces it’s re-branding to Yahoo! Search Marketing.
In conjunction with the re-branding, it has partnered with Yahoo!7 to launch a new Advertising Solutions centre http://searchmarketing.yahoo.com.au/en_AU/as/index.php. The centre creates a single point of access to both of the company’s online advertising solutions. It represents the first step in a process of creating tighter synergies between the two group’s offerings.
Craig Wax, Regional Managing Director of Yahoo! Search Marketing for Australia, India and South East Asia said, “The objective of the re-branding is to leverage the power of the Yahoo! brand and to further build a strong and integrated offering when going to market with Yahoo!7.”

The introduction of the Advertising Solutions Centre will also give Australian marketers access to the largest set of search marketing and brand advertising solutions on the web.

Yahoo! Search Marketing will also continue to enhance and expand its Australian sponsored search distribution network – including many niche websites in Australia that attract significant levels of traffic. Overture formally changed its brand to Yahoo! Search Marketing in the US during April 2005. Overture’s other international markets will also be re-branded to Yahoo! Search Marketing – except for Japan and Korea, where the Overture brand will be maintained.
