NETGEAR creates Channel Development Team to better service its channel partners

NETGEAR (Nasdaq: NTGR) has created a Channel Development Team to enhance the company’s relationship with its growing base of partners.

The new team, which is working from the Sydney office, is headed-up by channel development manager Robert Savellis, who has been looking after NETGEAR’s independent retail partners in New South Wales and Western Australia for four years. NETGEAR has also recruited Hugo De Oliveira and Juin Lim, both formerly of Datacom, to complete the team.

“Since joining the company, Hugo and Juin have been busy establishing contact with our channel partners to gauge ways in which we can work with them more proactively,” said NETGEAR’s Australian country manager, Ryan Parker.

“The Channel Development Team will maintain regular contact with NETGEAR’s resellers to ensure they have the industry and product knowledge they need as trusted advisors to their clients.

“NETGEAR has an extremely loyal base of resellers, some of which have been with us since day one. The team’s goals are to work with these resellers to help them to better service their networking customers and to educate them regarding the latest products and technologies that are particularly applicable to SMBs such as our Wireless Controller, ReadyNAS storage line and easy to manage Smart Switches.”

NETGEAR has also created a dedicated channel program to support partners selling the ProSafe SMB product line. Greg Basford, is running the program. Basford explains ProSafe partners will have access to additional sales incentive programs and more in-depth face-to-face training sessions so they are in a position to recommend the right network solution and service for each customer.

The company has also recruited Eduard Lugovoy who was working with NETGEAR in Europe as part of the engineering team. Eduard has joined the Sydney engineering team and will be working with technical specialist Jeff Fulton.

Parker says, “In 2007, NETGEAR has continued its leadership of the SMB switch market in Australia. The appointment of three new members will give us additional bandwidth to better service our clients and partners and expand our market share.”
