Portal Insight Delivers Australian Content from News Interactive to Plumtree Customers in Australia

SYDNEY Australia, January 13, 2004 –- Leading portal services provider Portal Insight and Enterprise Web leader Plumtree Software (Nasdaq: PLUM) today announced new Enterprise Web Services within an application developed by Portal Insight for the Plumtree Enterprise Web Suite that provide access to Australian news content sourced from News Interactive.

The Portal Insight Content Suite is a suite of portlets that allow users to view headlines from over 20 different categories of local news, business news, and sports content, and helps ensure that the portal remains the single location where users can access all of the information they need for their jobs. “Portal Insight is committed to delivering the tools and services necessary to enable the success of portal implementations throughout Australia and Asia Pacific, and integrating relevant, regional content into the portal is a major step towards accomplishing that goal. We are delighted to introduce this application to give Australian users access to the information they need sourced from News Interactive, the new media division of Australia’s leading provider of news, News Limited,” said Karen Ehret, Head of Portal Development at Portal Insight. “We chose News Interactive as our content partner because they are the only network that can offer us the breadth and depth of news content that we needed,” Ms Ehret said. “For our customers, this means that the Portal Insight will always deliver the most comprehensive and up-to-date news and information.” Nic Jones, Managing Director, News Interactive said the News Interactive network was able to call on the vast resources of News Limited to deliver high quality content, available 24 hours a day, with breaking local and international news stories, live sports coverage and results and articles from the company’s more than 110 newspapers around Australia. Mr Jones said over four million people visited the network each month. “No other Australian network has the resources of News Interactive and we are committed to delivering the best content available,” said Mr Jones. “We value our partnership with Portal Insight to extend our corporate market reach.”

Leighton Holdings Limited recently deployed the Portal Insight Content Suite in its Plumtree 5.0 portal. Sean Kaye, Manager of Information Systems for Leighton Holdings Limited, said, “Our users will really enjoy the Portal Insight offering. Having this type of content is consistent with our goal of locating all important information within our portal.” Dean Stockwell, Plumtree’s General Manager, Asia Pacific, said, “This release from Portal Insight is yet another example of Plumtree empowering its partners to deliver relevant, custom Enterprise Web services to their customers.
