Optima restructures corporate team to facilitate business growth
SYDNEY, Australia – Optima Technology Solutions (ASX:OPI), Australia’s largest computer manufacturer, has restructured its Board of Directors and appointed new staff to its senior management team to drive future business growth.
The new structure will support Optima’s “3x3” strategy of earning $300mill revenue within the next three years.
Cornel Ung has left the position of Managing Director to take on the role of Executive Chairman of the Board, with the current Chairman, Scott Brown, remaining on the board as Non-Executive Director.
As Executive Chairman, Ung will be able to focus more on the company’s strategic direction, product development and marketing, as opposed to managing its day-to-day operations.
“Optima’s transformation from a private company to a public company has been very successful,” said Ung. “We listed on the ASX two years ago and it’s now time for Optima to enter the next stage of its development. The changes in management will facilitate this progression.”
Douglas Wong has taken over as Managing Director of Optima, having most recently held the position of Non-Executive Director. Wong has also acted as a long-term advisor to the company, contributing to his in-depth knowledge of its operations. In his new role, Wong will actively support and accelerate Optima’s growth strategy.
“Optima’s success to date has come from our ability to deliver high-quality products at low price points, and then support these products with a nationwide service and support network,” said Wong. “Moving forward, we hope to extend our product range and increase our reseller base, allowing us to effectively target these products to our core markets of education, government and small-to-medium sized business.”
