Brennan Joins ELB As Part Of Accelerate Plan, Enabling Greater Educational Transformation Across Australia
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: Integrated collaboration expert ELB (formerly ELECTROBOARD) has sharpened its focus on supporting educational transformation with the appointment of unified communications leader Mr. James Brennan.
Mr. Brennan, who has more than 15 years’ experience in the education and collaboration industry, starts his new role at ELB this week as National Head of Education and NSW State Manager based in Sydney.
This newly created role, which is part of the company’s recently announced Accelerate strategy for transformational growth, sees Mr. Brennan leading ELB’s national education team of specialists focused on enabling the education sector to leverage the benefits of simple and intuitive ‘plug and play’ solutions and meet a growing demand for interactive learning and flexible spaces across Australia.
ELB’s recently appointed General Manager Sales and Marketing, Mr. Mario Hilmi says he’s excited to have Mr. Brennan joining the company’s leadership team adding he has arrived at a pivotal time for the business and the education sector.
“The education landscape is changing dramatically driven by technology innovation and will continue with cloud transformation. That in turn is supporting the move to personalised learning and more collaborative interactions for the digital natives of today and tomorrow. Mr. Brennan says he is equally excited to have joined ELB adding he firmly believes the business can make a real difference to the future of education in in Australia.

I know the technical capabilities and long history ELB has in transforming education and the professional support the business provides to teaching staff across Australian schools. ELB has a clear strategic plan and future vision and I’m very excited to be onboard.”
Mr. Brennan has strong collaboration, unified communications and video industry experience making him a subject matter expert on solutions and services, the Australian market, and the needs of large education and government organisations. Prior to joining ELB, he held senior leadership roles including working with Mr. Hilmi at BlueJeans where he led the Asia Pacific business to record growth, adoption and customer satisfaction levels. Mr. Brennan also spent over 10 years at Polycom in Asia and North America in sales, marketing and product management leadership roles. Most recently, he was Senior Director of ANZ for Kaltura, a collaboration provider with a strong focus on the education market. Mr. Brennan is originally from Denver, Colorado and holds a degree in Finance and Business Law from Penn State University, and an MBA from the University of Southern California. His appointment follows that of fellow new leadership team members including Mr. Mario Hilmi, General Manager Sales and Marketing, Ms. Sharonika Camplin (Head of Marketing) and CFO Sean Hooper who all commenced at ELB within the last two months.
The new leadership team is responsible for driving and implementing ELB’s Accelerate strategic growth strategy announced last month. Accelerate covers the company’s approach to Cx-Ex (Customer Experience, Employee Experience) initiatives including the roll-out of end user, future-focused experience centres and increasing its sales-strength and customer support nationally through double digit headcount growth and investment.
