Build your SME Funnel Faster with Microsoft 365 Business

Microsoft 365 Business has been structured around facilitating modern ways of working, by providing SMEs with the tools they need to work faster and more productively.

As a recent Forrester Report shows, channel partners can expect Microsoft 365 Business to significantly improve margins, revenue and profitability. But what are the benefits to the customer, and what kind of conversations can resellers have to convince customers of the value?

Microsoft 365 Business has been structured around facilitating modern ways of working, by providing SMEs with the tools they need to work faster and more productively. As such, it’s an ideal solution for any SME that wants to work dynamically – and that is most of them.

More information on the following statistics can be found in the infographic here.

Microsoft 365 Business covers off all the challenges of the modern worker. Statistics show that 83 per cent of knowledge workers depend on technology to collaborate, and yet 35 per cent of them are still relying on inefficient email to do that. Microsoft 365 Business includes Skype for Business to enable more efficient collaboration and communication between employees.

SMEs also want to use apps. 61 per cent of employees believe that effective business tools allow them to provide better (faster) service, but 42 per cent of workers find mobile apps have less functionality or are harder to user than normal desktop computing. Office 365 apps, OneDrive, and Outlook for mobile are all available as part of Microsoft 365 business, helping employees to continue working at full functionality when out and about.

Finally, security is a big concern to the modern SME. It costs, on average, $21,042 to investigate, contain, and remediate a compromise of one employee’s mobile device, and yet 28 per cent of employees are using at least one unsanctioned tool to supplement the business tools provided by the company. This is a massive risk back into the business. Microsoft 365 Business provides the automatic and universal enforcement of security policies to really help lock those devices down to security risks.

A deeper break down on the features of Microsoft Business 365 and the benefits that it provides to customers can be found through the following FAQ page that has been devised to assist partners on customer enquiries.

Keeping employees engaged

Engaged employees are productive employees, and an SME benefits greatest when each employee is operating at a peak level of productivity. There are five key ways that a business can keep its employees engaged, as outlined in this Microsoft eBook aimed to provide a more motivated and invested workforce:

  • Using tools that bring employees together, no matter where they physically are
  • Take work/life balance seriously, and help facilitate that for the employees
  • Choose solutions that are simple to use for all employees
  • Focus on allowing employees to maintain the quality of their work
  • Build trust with always-on security

Microsoft Business 365 is built around those principles, and provides it at a cost that SMEs can afford - $20/user per month. Most channel partners are already having conversations with their customers in building action plans to meet these five objectives, and the greatest benefit to the channel is that they can provide a solution to all of this to their customers from a single sale.
