Canon is making a big impact with point-and-shoot announcements, with six new Powershot cameras to reach New Zealand stores from August onward. Leading the charge is a model aimed at more experienced photographers: the Canon PowerShot G11. The G11 is the new flagship model in the PowerShot line, a follow-up to last year's PowerShot G10. Like the G10, the new model offers the ability to shoot in RAW mode, has nifty old-school dials for quickly adjusting ISO and exposure compensation levels, has an optical viewfinder in addition to an LCD screen, and its 5x optical zoom lens reaches from 28mm wide angle to 140mm telephoto.
