Afi.ai launches partner program targeting MSPs

Cloud platform management developer Afi.ai has launched its global Afi partner program, offering Australian and New Zealand managed service providers (MSPs) access to a backup platform, support, specialised features and more.

The partner program was designed by the Atlanta-headquartered company to simplify cloud-to-cloud data protection service provisioning for all MSPs, according to Vincent Marino, chief product officer at Afi.

“[The] smallest MSPs can start reselling Office 365 and G Suite backup services in minutes, with cloud storage, management console and billing managed by Afi,” Marino said.

“For larger partners, Afi provides custom billings systems and RMM (remote monitoring and management) integrations, backup to partner-owned S3 cloud storage and other unique capabilities enabling workflow automation and greater control for large service providers.”

ARN understands that the A/NZ region is Afi’s third-largest region in terms of customers and the company is hopeful to be as successful in acquiring regional partners.

The partner program has just the one level and offers partners quick access to a fully managed software as a service backup platform, integration into MSP systems via an API to allow for ticketing, billing, partner provisioning and RMM systems and the usage of partner owned cloud storage applications.

In addition, members of the partner program will also gain access to specialised product features like SLA-based protection management, high-frequency backup and an AI-based layer of protection against ransomware and cyberattacks.

"This is our first partner program. Afi originally launched the service for end-customers and served them directly,” Marino added.

“Many customers recommended us to their MSPs who turned out to be very interested in a new G Suite and Office 365 backup solution. 

“After we started to work through MSP partners we received a lot of feedback and additional requests for features that are specific to IT resellers.”
