Ingram Micro NZ is boosting its internet of things (IoT) portfolio, adding Taiwan-based Netvox to its range of systems available to resellers.

Netvox manufactures wireless IoT sensor network systems and has significant partnerships with many Fortune 500 companies, said Steve Blackmore, business manager for networking and IoT at Ingram Micro.

Netvox’s offering includes end-to-end LoRaWAN IoT solutions that can be used for both public and private LoRa networks. It’s range of sensors are suitable for many applications use in agriculture, civil infrastructure, and construction.

Immediate market opportunities for Netvox solutions are environmental monitoring, energy monitoring, and security sensors for intelligent homes, buildings, aged care facilities and smart retail.

“Partnering with Netvox offers an exciting opportunity for Ingram Micro New Zealand to strengthen and expand its service offering in industrial IoT, smart cities, smart buildings, and smart agriculture," Blackmore said.

Kent Shen, vice president of Netvox Technology, said the company was excited to be working with Ingram Micro on enabling the New Zealand reseller community to build end-to-end IoT solutions.

"We are looking forward to working with the team to enable the local channel to realise the full potential of IoT solutions – both in terms of speed and time to value, as well as return on investment," Shen said.

Blackmore said IoT solutions are increasingly being used to differentiate businesses from their competitors.
