NZ's Crossware scores world-first sale in Microsoft's SaaS subs stores

Email signature manager Crossware is one of the pioneer SaaS providers selling subscriptions from Microsoft’s official application stores.
But not only that, it was the first application to actually make a sale on the platform globally, when an American business placed an order for 100 seats within a day of the new system going live at the end of May.
The move onto AppSource and Azure Marketplace follows what 20-year-old Crossware describes as "intense consultation" between Crossware and Microsoft to ensure Crossware's major product, Crossware Mail Signature, conforms to Microsoft’s standards.
Crossware’s founder and CEO Per Andersen says the availability of its software on Microsoft’s app store is a huge step in growing the business and a milestone towards expanding Crossware’s international channel.
“Ninety-eight percent of Crossware’s revenue comes from international sales," Andersen said.
Microsoft customers can now buy a subscription to Crossware Mail Signature through Microsoft and be confident it will run seamlessly with Microsoft’s Office 365 suite, Crossware said.
As of April, Crossware reportedly had 3000 customers worldwide and almost a million users.
"At the moment we have people on the ground in the UK and the USA. We expect the availability of our product through Microsoft’s app store will help us grow sales faster in both markets, enabling us to expand our teams much faster in each country.”
Crossware offers integrated email signature software for Office 365 and other email platforms. The solution enables professional-looking email signatures, corporate branding, and statutory disclaimers to be automatically included on every email leaving a company.
