Pushpay wins again at Hi-Tech Awards

Greg Cross was named 2019 Flying Kiwi.
Mobile giving software developer Pushpay and entrepreneur Greg Cross collected the major gongs at the 2019 Hi-Tech Awards last night.
Pushpay was named Hi-Tech company of the year while the 2019 Flying Kiwi award went to serial entrepreneur and investor Greg Cross. Pushpay won the same award two years ago.
"Pushpay shows what happens when a metrics-mad company just keeps pushing," the judges said. "During 2018, Pushpay’s platform was used by more than 7500 churches around the world to process more than $5 billion in contributions."
In late 2017, Cross guided wireless charging technology developer PowerbyProxi through a $100 million-plus sale to Apple.
Hi Tech Trust chair Jennifer Rutherford said it was fantastic to be able to recognise he achievements of Cross.
“Greg has achieved so much in his own career and is truly an inspiring and passionate individual," she said.
"He is someone who has spent so much of his life on the road, taking leading-edge NZ-founded tech companies like PowerbyProxi and now Soul Machines to the world."
Other big winners last night were PredictHQ, taking out three awards while Robotics Plus collected two.
