Queensland-based Uptime Systems has signed a distribution deal with US-based cooling solutions vendor Tripp Lite.

Established in September 2018 by former CyberPower Systems' general manager Brad Andrews, Uptime Systems is the first distributor to offer Tripp Lite solutions in Australia, with the partnership extending into New Zealand, Pacific Islands and the Philippines.

With a presence in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, it offers a range of data centre solutions, accessories and also on site UPS installation, commissioning and preventive maintenance services.

Tripp Lite is the third vendor Uptime Systems has signed with along with Australian rack systems and enclosures specialist Rack Technologies and Australian UPS vendor PowerShield.

“We have been looking for a strategic partner to continue our expansion in Oceania,” said Bryn Morgan, Tripp Lite senior vice president of international sales. “Uptime Systems was a perfect fit. Their local market experience, technical expertise and service capability makes them an ideal partner to distribute Tripp Lite’s extensive portfolio of power and connectivity solutions within this region.”

The vendor evaluated the market potential in the region and found it to be a developed power and connectivity market with significant opportunity for Tripp Lite.

“Uptime has the right mix of organisational capabilities, a management team that understands the local market extremely well and the value-added services we look for in a successful partner,” said Morgan.

Uptime Systems has 50 active resellers across Australia and New Zealand and Pacific Islands.

"We are excited to be on boarding Tripp Lite to bring to the local market one of the most comprehensive product ranges from a single vendor within this space with over 4,000 product SKUs covering all data centre solutions and IT accessories," Andrews told ARN.

Andrews Left CyberPower in late 2018 being replaced by Robert Hartvigsen who was previously sales manager for Victoria, Tasmania, Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory.

Uptime Systems plans tolaunch a Tripp Lite 4 tier partner program including rewards, online and in-class training and certifications, Australian based technical support and on site warranties together with a targeted BID registration program to best support partners in the region.
