Kiwi partners merge to create one stop comms shop

VideoPro and Smartpresence have merged businesses to create TenFour, a specialist communications partner with nationwide reach across New Zealand.
Reseller News can reveal that the motivation behind the move was to combine audio visual (AV) and video conferencing technologies, backed by managed services, project management and digital signage expertise.
Headquartered in Wellington, TenFour is the product of many years of partnership between the two companies in the market, housing more than 20 years of industry experience.
Alongside Wellington, the business will also have presence in Auckland, Tauranga, Hamilton and Christchurch.
“We created TenFour because AV communications technology is increasingly ubiquitous and depended on by organisations to work in the collaborative, efficient, agile and diverse way that success requires,” a company statement read.
“But as the technology becomes more useful and powerful in the workplace, it’s also becoming more complicated to design and support.
“By uniting AV and conferencing expertise under one roof, we design, install and support workplace AV communications tech so that it’s like running water - everywhere, always-on, and understood by everybody.”
From a logistics perspective, TenFour confirmed that “all staffing and support networks remain in place”, with Nathan Roche and Corey McCarthy appointed as company directors.
Specific to technology, the new-look provider will look to leverage preferred supplier agreements with four core vendors, in the form of Crestron, Polycom, Pexip and OneLan Digital Signage.
Meanwhile, key customers include Deloitte Wellington, Les Mills Britomart and Transpower, alongside New Zealand Police, BP Connect and ASB Baypark.
Founded in 2009, VideoPro provides high-performance communication solutions delivered through specification, design and fitting out services.
The specialist partner has deep expertise in HD video conferencing, digital signage and boardroom integration, in addition to commercial LED displays, full building AV system design and distributed audio and video.
On the flip side, Smartpresence launched into the market in 2011, becoming one of the fastest growing video communications providers in New Zealand.
The business operates as an accredited and independent supplier, installer and maintenance partner of high-definition video conferencing and telepresence systems, while also offering services around hosting, cloud and unified communications.
