Tableau Software has unveiled plans to deepen engagement across the channel, through a revamped partner program and product line-up.
Showcased during Partner Summit in New Orleans, the vendor will expand its global partner program with new certifications and trainings, backed up by support for bundled offers designed to better serve joint customers.
“Tableau and our partners share a relentless focus on customers,” said Dan Miller, executive vice president of global sales at Tableau. “Customer needs are rapidly evolving so it’s essential we have a highly qualified partner network to help them adopt and deploy analytics at scale.”
Miller said Tableau’s partner program expansion plans feature new certification and training programs to help increase the number of skilled partner employees.
Furthermore, Tableau’s new support tier levels, Extended and Premium, which provide 24x7 support and access to Technical Account Managers, are now also available to partners.
Partners can provide these support offers, along with other professional services and training, via integrated and recommended bundles, according to Miller.
“We are expanding our partner program to further focus on customer success and enable partners to innovate on Tableau’s platform to provide rich solutions that help optimise deployments,” Miller added.
Tableau has also rolled out new product integrations with technology providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft, spanning mapping to data cataloging and analytics.
Specific to AWS, the vendor announced an expanded partnership which includes a new Extension for Amazon SageMaker, enabling customers to access the fully managed machine learning service directly from a Tableau dashboard, alongside releasing a new Tableau Server on AWS Healthcare Quick Start.
Meanwhile, and building on existing integrations with Microsoft Azure, the new Azure SQL Data Warehouse connector included in the Tableau 2019.1 beta will allow customers to connect to the fully-managed, high-performance data warehouse directly from Tableau Desktop.
With a native connector, Miller said customers can benefit from a "seamless interactive experience", all without custom configuration or coding.
From a channel perspective, Tableau aligns with value-added resellers, system integrators and managed service providers.
