The vendor said it will use Boston-based OutSystems low-code development platform to create enterprise apps that enable faster agile delivery of digital transformation for trans-Tasman government and commercial organisations.
"Many clients have told us that even with agile approaches to digital transformation – which rely on cross-function collaboration and quick response to change – ideas and requirements too frequently outpace their ability to deliver or update enabling applications," said Richard Amer, director for digital government at Unisys Asia Pacific.
"With the OutSystems platform, our development teams can quickly create applications that support our clients’ digital transformation initiatives and in turn enable them to create new revenue streams by delivering commercial customers and citizens a wider range of web and mobile services."
The OutSystems platform is delivered as-a-service for developing and delivering enterprise web and mobile applications in the cloud, on-premises or in hybrid environments.
Specifically, it features drag-and-drop interfaces and automation to assist integration via APIs and other mechanisms.
Steve Oliff, regional sales director or OutSystems, said Unisys brings "great expertise and experience" in digital transformation across public sector, financial services, transportation and healthcare sectors in the New Zealand and Australian markets.
"Working together we can help organisations realise their digital transformation objectives more quickly by establishing the platform for rapid change and continuous innovation," he said.
