Reseller News honoured the industry’s finest on a standout evening for the New Zealand channel, recognising the achievements of established and emerging partners on a memorable night in Auckland.
Encapsulating a year of great change for the local market, the highlights of the past 12 months were once again played out on the grandest stage, in front of over 400 of the country’s leading industry figures.
Hosted by Paul Ego, the third awarding of the channel’s finest set the stage for three Reseller News Hall of Fame inductees; Mark Baker; Justin Tye and Andrew Allan.
Keynoted by Reseller News Hall of Fame inductee - Darryl Swann - the packed house at The Langham played host to a milestone occasion.
Reflecting the health of the local channel, more than 40 partners made the final shortlist in 2017, boosted by emerging technology start-ups from across New Zealand.
The end result was the most diverse and wide-ranging partner line-up in the history of the Reseller News ICT Industry Awards, with the biggest night on the channel calendar playing host to the leading innovators of the past 12 months.
Completing the finalist line-up, more than 20 vendor organisations were also in the running, alongside nine distributors.
Reseller News congratulates all winners, finalists and nominees, and thanks a judging panel comprising of over 70 of the industry’s leading influencers.

Igor wins this award for overcoming great odds to live the Kiwi Dream. After starting life in war torn Yugoslavia, Igor immigrated to New Zealand aged 15, before founding Dynamo6, now recognised as a leading cloud specialist across the country.

Spark wins this award for addressing New Zealand’s digital divide through Spark Jump, a pre-paid broadband solution with a free modem for eligible families with school-aged children who cannot afford broadband at home.

Diljit wins this award as a true champion of the channel, operating as an unsung hero across the Dimension Data business. Diljit has led a number of charitable initiatives at the company, helping raise over $30,000 towards delivering bicycles to underprivileged children through Variety New Zealand.

Paul wins this award following a year of great achievement in the Kiwi channel. Under Paul’s guidance, Microsoft has grown its channel ecosystem in New Zealand, from around 1000 partners to 1260 unique partners selling cloud solutions.

Joao wins this award for demonstrating in-depth solution knowledge, in both legacy solution design as well as in emerging technologies. During the past 12 years, this has helped the business win new opportunities in the local market.

HIGHLY COMMENDED: Cedric Edwards (Hewlett Packard Enterprise)
Jo wins this award for demonstrating outstanding management excellence. During the past 12 months, Jo directed her sales team to a 176 per cent revenue growth, while also on-boarding new staff and vendors.

Sanjeet wins this award for successfully leading the Wellington engagement with Spark, helping contribute to the signing of a five-year customer agreement, worth more than $10 million.
