Quantum leap of channel faith of former Brocade veteran joins the ranks

Storage firm Quantum has announced the appointment of Greig Guy as Regional Channel Manager, Australia and New Zealand.
Guy will help Quantum build up its channel ecosystem through recruiting new partners and expanding relationships with existing partners.
Furthermore, he will also be responsible for managing all aspects of the existing Quantum channel program across Australia and New Zealand, including distribution, VARs, system integrators and technology partners.
“We would like to welcome Greig to the Australia and New Zealand business,” says Anne Collins, Director of Channels Sales, APAC, Quantum.
“We’re looking forward to working with a channel-focused expert who will continue to expand and align our local channel relationships with our key offerings and objectives for the year ahead.”
Collins says that in FY16, Quantum will continue to build on its regional channel partners’ success by providing them with additional archive, backup and storage solutions for the cloud and data centre.
Going forward, the company will also be focused on recruiting new partners in the video surveillance, data centre archive and backup, media & entertainment, and high-performance computing segments.
In his 30 year career, Guy has developed high-level strategic partner engagements for several leading vendor organisations within the Asia-Pacific region.
Prior to this appointment at Quantum, Guy spent nine years with Brocade Communications as Country Manager and Regional Channel Manager for Australian and New Zealand, and a further eight years as Channel Manager for Hitachi Data Systems Australia, where he led the company’s first partner engagement program in the region.
“Quantum is positioned to add value to existing and future partner offerings and meet the most demanding workflow challenges that end users are facing,” Guy adds.
