Security software vendor, Websense, has appointed David Adams to manage its New Zealand operations.
According to Websense Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) managing director and Adams’ boss, Gerry Tucker, he was hired on the back of his experience in the NZ IT space which spans more than two decades.
Adams joins the company from Gen-i where he worked as an enterprise solutions specialist, and has had stints with NetApp, Equant, and Blue Coat Systems. His expertise lies mostly in software and consulting.
“David’s knowledge of influential technology trends, including Cloud computing, and strong client enagement skills will make him a valuable asset for our operation in NZ,” Tucker said.
Commenting on the new role, Adams said, “There is a significant opportunity for growth in NZ. Recent data breaches both locally and globally demonstrates that IT security complexities are increasing and local organisations are facing more sophisticated cybersecurity threats. I am keen to make the most of these opportunities to grow Websense’s footprint in New Zealand.”
