Interactive Intelligence appoints new regional VP

Appointment follows a ramp up of its APAC presence

Cloud software and services firm Interactive Intelligence has promoted its managing director, Brendan Maree, to vice president Japan, Australian and New Zealand.

The appointment comes as the company looks to ramp up its presence across the Asia Pacific and follows increased sales momentum for Cloud-based contact centre solution deployments.

During the past 12 months, Interactive Intelligence has opened new offices in Perth and Auckland, New Zealand.

Maree said the Australian, New Zealand and Japanese markets were high growth markets for the company, both in terms of revenue increase and staff headcount.

“The Asia-Pacific region, as a whole, provides a major opportunity for our cloud-based contact centre solutions as companies seek to harness the productivity, scalability and cost savings which both hybrid and Cloud infrastructure solutions provide,” he said.

“I look forward to expanding my remit to include Japan in 2014.”

Maree joined Interactive Intelligence eight years ago as Managing Director, Australia, New Zealand and Pacific.

Interactive Intelligence claims he has been responsible for growing company sales, managing partner relationships, supporting company acquisitions and boosting the company’s employee base which now numbers more than 120 people across Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
