LinkedIn New Zealand has reached the one million mark for members from the country.
“Every day our New Zealand members are leveraging all aspects of LinkedIn to be more productive and successful in their careers”, said Cliff Rosenberg, MD for LinkedIn New Zealand, Australia and South East Asia.
“From following Influencers to gain business insights, leveraging their networks to make new business connections, or simply finding their dream jobs, LinkedIn has become the go-to source for professionals and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see such an impressive number of New Zealanders using the platform.”
LinkedIn members in the country were found to have on average 10.8 years of work experience, with operations, sales and entrepreneurship being the most represented job functions.
The company noted the University of Auckland, Fonterra and Telecom NZ as the three biggest employers of LinkedIn members from the country. Air New Zealand, Fonterra and Telecom NZ qualify as the three firms most followed by members.
According to the firm, the University of Auckland, Massey University and Victoria University of Wellington were the three institutions most NZ members had attended.
LinkedIn, now in its tenth year of operation, has over 259 million members globally. The student market is LinkedIn’s fastest growing demographic with more than 30 million students worldwide leveraging the site – including its recently launched LinkedIn University Pages.
