Compute-as-a-service (CaaS) solutions and services provider, Dimension Data (DiData), will open four new global Cloud datacentres in the next quarter to address the ongoing demand in enterprise-class Cloud services.
Services at the Cloud provider's Ashburn (Virginia, USA) Managed Cloud Platform (MCP) facility are currently available, and will be joined by Melbourne (Australia) in November, and both London (UK) and Sao Paulo (Brazil) in January next year.
DiData's MCPs host the company's public Cloud infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) and managed hosting services. Each location provides end users within the region low-latency access to secure, enterprise public, private and hosted private Cloud services.
"The addition of these four key MCP locations adds capcity to the US, Australia and Europe, where our client base is growing rapidly and requires multiple Cloud datacentres to support business continuity, backup, and replication within the region," DiData Cloud business unit chief executive officer (CEO), Steve Nola, said.
"Sao Paulo, as DiData's first MCP in South America, will create availability for global enterprises to locate data in this region."
The new locations will bring the ICT services provider's total number of Managed Cloud Platform (MCP) facilities to 11, with multiple datacentres in each of the Americas, EMEA, Asia-Pacific, and Australia regions.
"By continuing to expand our footprint of global network-centric Cloud availability, DiData is helping clients to leverage the Cloud for enterprise and web applications globally."
