Zeacom scores with Cisco

LOCAL independent software vendor Zeacom has attained global accreditation on Cisco’s latest IP platform to keep pace with the growth in the IP (internet protocol) telephony market.

It has achieved Cisco AVVID (Architecture for Voice and Video Integrated Data) partner certification for its Q-MasterEX and Corus software, which signifies that the contact centre and call management packages have been independently tested for compatibility with the latest version of Cisco’s Call Manager IP telephony platform.

Zeacom’s software was first certified by Cisco in 2002 and the latest accreditation ensures that the products continue to work with the vendor’s newer technology, says Zeacom marketing manager Mike Engle.

“It demonstrates our continued commitment to the Call Manager platform,” he says. The renewed certification was essential for Zeacom to strengthen its presence in the rapidly growing IP telephony market, according to Engle.

“IP telephony has gone from early adopter to mainstream and Cisco has placed a lot of emphasis on it over the last year,” he says.

“Two years ago there was still a lot of nervousness about implementing IP telephony in call centre environments, but that has now evaporated and companies are considering IP telephony without fear.”

Over 50 organisations across the world use Zeacom’s contact centre software on top of Cisco’s Call Manager platform, including Lion Nathan in New Zealand.

Zeacom’s AVVID accredited range is available to all Cisco IP telephony certified resellers.
