Cyclades seeks NZ partners

CYCLADES is looking to expand its New Zealand presence with the addition of further local business partners.

The company specialises in out-of-bandwidth data management, providing a secure alternative path to detect and repair infrastructure problems that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Leanne Ramsay, Cyclades regional director Australia and New Zealand says, “We’re looking for resellers who can add value. We don’t want a lot, just a handful. Our product’s not a commodity, so we don’t need a distributor.”

Specifically she wants partners who can handle pre-sales consulting, offer after-sales support and have an understanding of the datacentre space.

“The role also involves selling the concept of out-of-bandwidth management,” she says.

“We’re looking to appoint partners in non-competing channels. It’s a high margin product and the street price is always pretty much the same as retail.”

Ramsay says the New Zealand market is important to her company. “It’s a reasonable size market for us, currently worth around US$25 million. We’re committed to the country and have recently joined the Trans-Tasman business forum, we’re about to join TUANZ and they will help when we run a three city road show here.”

Cyclades’ New Zealand customers include Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, Contact Energy, Westpac, Inland Revenue, NZ Defence and Waikato University.

Recently the company won a contract for Weta Digital in Wellington.
