BizGo kicks off under new banner

THE first series of BizGo seminars under the Gen-i banner is currently underway.
The sessions began in Whangarei on October 13 and will travel to 13 towns and cities before wrapping up in Auckland on November 7.
The BizGo seminars are a longstanding Computerland fixture at which various technology vendors inform customers about new technologies and strategies and how they can be applied to their businesses.
The current series is the first since Telecom rolled the Computerland brand into Gen-i in August and follows a previous round in March.
Damien Toman, Gen-i chief technology officer and organiser of the event, says the change in branding hasn’t affected attendance. “BizGo has always had a very strong brand presence in its own right,” he says.
“There is no difference, except that it is now a Gen-i event and the logo has been changed to be more aligned with Gen-i’s branding.”
And despite Gen-i’s Telecom ownership BizGo clearly remains an IT event, says Toman.
Vendors involved in this round include Microsoft, HP, Symantec, Tandberg, IBM, Computer Associates, Trend Micro and Cisco.
