Strategic merger tackles CRM market

CRM heavyweight Complete Solutions has merged with ERP specialist Datagroup.
The new company is known as Complete Solutions DG.
John Biggs, founder of Complete Solutions, is CEO of the new entity and Data Group founder Rollo Gillespie is chairman.
Biggs says it is the right time to take advantage of growth in the integration of CRM (customer relationship management) and ERP (enterprise resource planning). “Both companies have been around for a number of years and have developed markets for ERP and CRM in that time. It just made sense to merge the two,” he says.
Having successfully retained all staff through the transition Biggs says Complete Solutions DG effectively doubles the number of Microsoft Dynamic SL-certified consultants available to clients.
Biggs believes the merger gives reassurance to existing customers about the longevity of the company.
“A lot of it is in how you address a merger. From my view it is two companies coming together and the challenge for us is to get a culture going.”
And Biggs sees this consolidation as an opportunity rather than a narrowing of the industry.
“We have to retain the loyalty of our staff and customers but I don’t see that as a hassle. This allows us to go vertical with some of the offerings we have and we can continue to build on the skill level and knowledge of these technologies.”
