Enterprise firewall security from Sonicwall

Sonicwall has launched new firewalls intended to speed up its ongoing move into the enterprise market. The security devices are part of Sonicwall’s E-Class line of secure networking, email security and remote network access offerings.

Australia and New Zealand regional manager Chris Barton says he is confident channel partners will be excited about the security devices.

“It’s a launch we’re really excited about. As a business we’ve been looking forward to having these types of capabilities across the offerings that we have now.

“The way we go to market is through the channel and there is going to be a greater requirement for a hands on approach in these enterprise fields. That’s a capability that Renaissance has and Sonicwall has to support our partners.

“We’re going to invest a lot of time as an organisation so we can claim that enterprise space. This is a new opportunity to bring some higher performing products to market.”

Sonicwall’s growth has been fuelled by four acquisitions in less than two years: SSL VPN niche player EnKoo, data backup and recovery startup Lasso Logic, enterprise email security company MailFrontier and most recently Aventail, a provider of enterprise class secure remote access solutions.

“We are looking forward to bringing Sonicwall’s latest products to market,” says Renaissance Brands internet security and networking brand manager Kevin Swainson.

“The E-Class offering is a great alternative to vendors such as Cisco and we are now able to offer high performance security solutions to companies of all sizes.”

The launch consists of three, multi-core processor firewalls that combine protection and performance in a single appliance: the NSA E7500, the NSA E6500 and the NSA E5500.
