Australian distributor Microbe has opened an Auckland office with the intention of increasing distribution of Kaspersky Lab security software from Russia. The company has also appointed Ivan Rasquinha as local channel manager.
“I’ll be taking over management of the existing reseller base and actively seeking new resellers for the Kaspersky product range,” says Rasquinha.
He adds that Microbe will be offering generous margins to those who wish to partner with the company. Rasquinha has a strong security and technical background and previously worked with a competitor product group in a similar channel-brand building role.
Microbe’s Australian operation has been officially distributing Kaspersky’s software for the past seven years throughout the region. “Microbe is now planning significant growth in both reseller numbers and in building brand awareness of the product range throughout New Zealand,” says Rasquinha.
In a statement Microbe Australia sales and marketing director Mark Hay says he is excited about the expansion.
“Kaspersky has focused on research and development rather than mass marketing and now independent tests have proven it has the fastest response time to new threats as well as the most frequent signature updates.
“Intelligent use of system resources means Kaspersky reaches the deepest scanning levels without the slow down in computer operation found in competing products,” he claims.
