Smart Security touches down

Demand from local resellers has led security vendor Eset to introduce its blended threats offering, Smart Security, in New Zealand.
Geoff Cossey, managing director of Eset’s local distributor Chillisoft, says its 600 resellers have been waiting for Smart Security to become available here for a couple of years.
“They are able to offer customers a complete security software package as this is a truly integrated solution, which has been in development for a while. This is reseller driven, not Eset deciding to launch another product.”
Eset Smart Security integrates NOD32 antivirus with antispyware, antispam and firewall protection.
Cossey adds that he is pleased with the local uptake.
“We’ve had a good response, considering the product has only been available for a short period.”
