Wellington council to replace hundreds of PCs

The Greater Wellington Regional Council is looking to buy 360 desktop and 50 laptop PCs to replace its five-year-old equipment.
According to request for proposal (RFP) documents released this week, the council also wants to buy and install a range of additional equipment such as CD/DVD writers, advanced graphics cards and other components.
The agreement will involve supply, configuration, delivery and installation of new equipment plus the removal of the old equipment in a secure and environmentally aware manner.
The RFP also states that while the project is initially for a bulk purchase there will be an opportunity for the ongoing supply of additional equipment to meet changing needs within the council over the next three years.
The RFP closes on Tuesday, April 1. More details are available on the Government Electronic Tenders Service website under ICNNZ reference 21157.
