Fujitsu is carrying on Infinity Solutions’ winning ways, taking this year’s NetApp New Zealand partner of the year prize at the vendor’s annual summit in Australia.
Infinity Solutions was named NetApp’s New Zealand reseller of the year last year and Australasian partner of the year in 2004.
The company had been NetApp’s longest standing local partner when it merged with Fujitsu last year, and the relationship began in 1998.
At this year’s awards, account manager Raymond Dickinson and storage support team leader Oliver Bassett also took the prize for Australia and New Zealand New Business Deal of the Year for sealing an agreement with a major government department.
Infrastructure solutions group general manager John Cortese says Fujitsu now has more than 100 local customers using NetApp technology.
“It’s a consistently growing business for us year on year, not only the growth of the technology but also the sales and support,” he says, adding its dedicated NetApp team numbers 12 with another four staff involved in the business.
Infinity Solutions was NetApp’s only local partner until Revera was appointed early last year, followed by Value Added Distributors in November.
The New Zealand channel contingent made up 10 percent of the audience at the summit.
