There are a myriad of ways for vendors to encourage better performance from their indirect sales force. It can be as simple as a get-together for a few drinks, or a mix of incentives as part of a full partner programme.
Do you like points accumulation that can be redeemed for gifts, or would you prefer the chance to drive a luxury car? Or does free attendance at a sales conference appeal more?
In our previous poll, we asked reader what impact National's election win would have on the tech sector, and, in particular, the channel.
Results suggest readers are mainly positive about the party's win and the new Government’s chances of turning the economy around. As many as 61 percent of respondents are in a largely positive frame of mind; however, 29 percent say, although they approve of the election result, recession angst and the global crisis will squeeze growth in the tech sector.
Fifteen percent predict the election result will spell few changes for resellers, in spite of National’s promised tax cuts.
Meanwhile, pessimists account for a quarter of our respondents, with 10 percent foreseeing the worst recession in decades and as many as 15 percent saying the new Government will be disastrous for their business and the tech sector in general.
