Intermec seeks greater local coverage

US-based mobile computing company Intermec is planning to ramp up its local presence by targeting resellers in new verticals such as labelling.
Intermec A/NZ managing director Tony Repaci says the company has six partners in areas including manufacturing, warehousing, logistics and supply chains, but would like to expand.
“We’re always looking for more partners in new verticals and others who can bring a new level of expertise. Our product range has been designed to cater to those markets.”
Some of the products in Intermec’s range are barcode printers, label media and radio frequency identification technology software.
Repaci says the company offers resellers an Honours Partner Programme and training. “We want to educate resellers around the unique selling opportunities of those new devices. There are some new programmes around our barcode printer range.
The number of portable printers and desktop printers [we manufacture] offer a comprehensive solution to a company if they’re operating a warehouse or multiple warehouses.”
