EECA seeks Net Benefit Model upgrade

The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority in Wellington wants to upgrade its Net Benefit Model (NBM).

This Excel-based spreadsheet program assesses the benefits that result from installing insulation or draught proofing. However, tender documents released this week state that the current scope of the NBM is limited in terms of the types of products and measures covered. As well, it may not reflect the latest understanding of the benefits of residential energy efficiency improvements.

The successful vendor will need to rebuild the NBM to include energy efficiency expansions to the program and accommodate future amendments to it.

The deadline for replies is Wednesday, April 15. More details are available from the Government Electronic Tenders website under ICCNZ reference 25562.
