FXP merges A/NZ-Asian marketing

Fuji Xerox Printers (FXP) has handed trans-Tasman marketing and communications responsibilities to Asia-Pacific and China communications manager Brad Monsbourgh, following the departure of Tom Lewis.
Lewis headed Australia and New Zealand marketing for the print vendor from January 2007 until late last month.
His exit follows that of Shirley Wigley, the former New Zealand country sales manager, who joined security vendor Sophos in August last year. At the time, Wigley’s role was combined with that of A/NZ sales manager John Cupit.
Cupit is also now focusing on other countries in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as Australia, says Monsbourgh.
Both men are based in Sydney, and all trans-Tasman marketing is now run from Australia.
Monsbourgh says he will focus on improving FXP’s communication with channel partners and capitalising on regional opportunities.
“It’s a tough climate in Australia and New Zealand, but we’re seeing there are still opportunities out there. While the market is shrinking, we still have an opportunity to grow our market share.”
Monsbourgh says the vendor Fuji Xerox Printers wants to make the most his experience, rather than replace Lewis.
Monsbourgh has been with FXP for five years and has been in the IT industry for 20.
Other than Lewis’ departure, the other change to the Australian-based marketing team is regional marketing/communications coordinator Michelle Rochford’s return from maternity leave, says Monsbourgh.
