AVG resellers get licence renewal reminder

AVG anti-virus and security product distributor AVG AU/NZ has introduced a renewal notification service to remind its 23000 reseller when their customers’ AVG licences are getting close to expiring.
Channel manager James Caldwell says the new reminder service is delivered via weekly e-mails and is also available via the company’s reseller centre. According to Caldwell the renewal notification service has proved successful for its resellers by providing them with timely reminders.
“In these times of economic uncertainty, the opportunity to nurture existing clients is a great benefit to resellers,” he says. “Resellers are advised of any customers whose licences will expire within the next 60 days. This encourages the AVG resellers to contact those customers to discuss their security needs.”
Caldwell adds that its resellers receive full margin on the renewal sale which represents a healthy annuity income. “Contacting customers to renew their AVG protection is a great opportunity for resellers to cross-sell or up-sell products and related services to their customers.”
AVG resellers can renew their customer’s licence for one or two years. He says resellers can also log onto the reseller centre to obtain details of the licences coming up for renewal.
