Epson eyes specialist partners for large format market

Printer vendor Epson aims to work closely with “a few highly focused and experienced” partners, and will use targeted marketing programmes, to grow in the large format printer market in New Zealand and Australia.
It is targeting the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) and print shop sectors.
Epson’s Australian-based business unit manager, business solutions division, says the specialist channel will provide expert pre-sales support and foster future business opportunities.
Jim Walsh, who has 20 years’ experience in the trans-Tasman AEC market, has been appointed national business development manager for AEC, GIS and office markets for the business products portfolio.
Walsh says the Epson Stylus Pro 7700 and Stylus Pro 9700 are well suited to the needs of customers because they have fast print speeds, water resistant prints, and low running costs.
