KiwiRail Group to monitor fleet via GPS
- 26 May, 2010 22:00
The KiwiRail Group in Wellington wants to optimise its national fleet by acquiring a GPS system.
It expects GPS will reduce the cost of operating the fleet and provide other non-financial benefits including reducing fleet size and reducing fuel costs by directly/indirectly influencing good driver behaviour.
KiwiRail needs the system to provide accurate time sheet recording and utilise electronic data capture reducing the reliance on paper based manual data input.
The deadline for replies is Tuesday, June 22.
