Certus, Ability Software form partnership

Auckland-based Ability Software has inked a reseller agreement with Certus in Australia and New Zealand and is already capitalising on new business opportunities across the Tasman.
Director Ross Mitchell says the two firms have already worked on projects in Australia, including two in the chemical and industrial sectors.
Although Ability Software has agreements with Certus’ New Zealand and Australian entities, Australia is the main focus of the partnership, says Mitchell.
“That is the area I really needed a strong and credible reseller partner. It will be reasonably pivotal in some of the larger sales to have a really solid support partner over there. This is an exciting opportunity for me, because it gives [us] a good partner to work with and we will be developing some strategies for marketing into their current customer base.”
Mitchell plans to visit Australia in the coming weeks to generate leads.
Ability Software continues to outsource software development to Convergence in New Zealand, while also working with IBM Lotus reseller Task Exchange in Sydney.
Earlier this year, Mitchell told Reseller News his company’s focus was on building its offshore business. Certus has been expanding in Australia, where it acquired Eos Solutions last June.
Reseller News was unable to get comment from Certus before going to print.
