Smith to step down at Oxygen

Specialist SAP consulting firm, Oxygen Business Solutions has appointed Stuart Dickinson as its Chief Executive, to replace Mike T. Smith later this year.
Dickinson has sat in executive roles with Oxygen since its inception in 2001. He most recently was Oxygen’s general manager for consulting and solutions in Australia. Dickinson will start his new role in June, based in Sydney.
Smith helped grow Oxygen to be one of the largest SAP specialists in Australia and New Zealand, earning AUD$650 million in revenue in his ten year tenure as CEO, according to a statement released by the company. Smith was responsible for taking a Carter Holt Harvey (CHH) incubator business from start up through to commercialisation and eventually the sale to ASX-listed UXC Pty Limited, according to the statement.
He guided Oxygen’s expansion from New Zealand into Australia.
“The time is right for the Chief Executive role to be based in Australia," Smith says in the statement. “I have decided for personal reasons not to relocate and am delighted that Stuart has accepted the role. He is a seasoned executive, knows both Oxygen and the SAP marketplace intimately, and is a natural fit to lead this next phase.”
Smith tells Reseller News that he plans to take a holiday break before pursuing new business opportunities in New Zealand. He says he is considering directorships and stakes in startups.
"I'll be looking for a grunty role," he says. "I still got a few things left to do in my career."
