Cyberoam's India-based BDM Alkesh Soneji took a special trip to New Zealand this month to take part in a event alongside distributor SnapperNet, to announce new products to resellers.
The two companies say they are looking to grow Cyberoam's reach in New Zealand and are actively seeking new reseller partners interested in joining the vendor's channel community.
Cyberoam has recently announced the NG series, through the launch of what it claims to be the "fastest UTM appliances" for SMBs. According to SnapperNet director Richard Paul, this new product provides Cyberoam resellers in New Zealand with new opportunities to go out and talk to customers. The company has also announced the launch of virtual UTM appliances for VMware and Hyper-V platforms.
Cyberoam's Soneji says, "if you compare to last year, we have grown 40 percent [in New Zealand]. We are looking to grow the same amount or even more than that".
To achieve that goal, the company, along with distributor SnapperNet, is investing in technical training for resellers to help support more complex Cyberoam solutions. A new partner portal has also been announced to further support resellers.
Soneji says the new services and products have been introduced in response to partner feedback. The company is lining up further training sessions for May this year.
According to Paul, the two companies are "working towards further certification for partners" to enable resellers and system integrators to get better value out of Cyberoam. "We have had lots of interest. We get calls asking when the next training session is going to be," he adds.
