Solnet Solutions is the Supreme winner in this year’s IBM Business Partner Awards, having also won the Workplace Collaboration category for its provision of new web portal infrastructure for Inland Revenue. Solnet’s northern region general manager Brett Arthur says it isn’t often people get to thank Inland Revenue, but described the government organisation as a “fantastic client”.
He also paid tribute to the Wellington-based team who had worked on the project over a long period of time.
“It’s been a huge, ongoing programme of work,” Arthur says.
IBM's New Zealand managing director Katrina Troughton told the audience at the awards ceremony in Auckland that Solnet’s project had an exceptional focus on customer success.
“When you look at the scale of what they’d done in New Zealand and when you compare it with tax agencies around the world, it’s potentially the most innovative we’ve seen.”
The project used Lotus Notes to deliver robust applications in an innovative way, she says.
VT Solutions was a successful entrant in this year’s awards, the third year they’ve been held. It was the winner of the Infrastructure Optimisation award and was also highly commended for its Co-Marketing Campaign.
New categories added this year were the Rookie of the Year, won by Password; the People’s Choice Award, taken by Pulse IT’s Ryan Balemi; the best Energy Efficient Solution, which went to Integral Technology Group; and the Best Co-Marketing Campaign, won by OSS.
