Dell targets the enterprise with new hires

Dell will recruit three local staff to boost its business in the enterprise architecture market. Country manager Mike Hill says the vendor is interviewing for two storage specialists and a solutions architect. The solutions architect will be based in Auckland, while the storage specialists could be based in Auckland or Wellington depending on where they live.
The vendor’s strategy is to add staff in different vertical markets, though there are no current plans to add more channel-focused staff.
“We are happy with the level of channel engagement through our ANZ channel team and distributor Simms,” says Hill. Dell does not release staff numbers by country or region, so he did not provide total staff numbers for New Zealand.
In January the vendor appointed local country channel manager James Arnold, along with trans-Tasman director of channels Jay Turner and trans-Tasman SMB marketing director Cath Hodgson-Croker.
