Insentra brings security vendor Torsion to A/NZ

Channel services provider Insentra has scored a contract to bring British information security vendor Torsion to Australian partners.

The deal marks Torsion’s first entry to the Australia and New Zealand market and will see it bypassing a local distributor in favour of Insentra’s channel-facing reseller and managed services set-up.

Torsion integrates with systems such as Office 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams to provide visibility over file and information access both within and outside of an organisation.

“Torsion plugs a gap in the Microsoft solution stack solving a long-standing client problem of ‘How can I ensure the right people have access to the right files at all times, particularly in the new world of collaboration’,” Insentra CEO Ronnie Altit said. “Auditors always ask the question and now it can be answered. 

Altit added that the deal will enable its channel partners to bring the total data management solution to customers, while for Torsion the deal removes the need for putting a physical presence in Australia.  

“The timing of this new partnership could not be better as the demand for data access governance rises in response to increased security and compliance concerns,” Torsion CEO Peter Bradley added. 

“The reputation of Insentra made them an obvious partner of choice for Torsion.  Their level of technical expertise around delivery and support coupled with their ability to market and sell data management solutions supports our strategy for expanding into new territories and markets.”

The vendor intends to expand its global footprint across the rest of Asia Pacific and the United States in 2020. 

Currently counting Microsoft, Citrix, Symantec, Veritas and RedHat among its vendor partners, Insentra last month revealed its growth plan to hit $110 million in revenue by 2024.
