HP national manager of distribution, SMB and supplies (PC and print) Chelsea Rossney has been named as the vendor’s new commercial channel director for the company in Australia.
The appointment comes nearly a month after the vendor’s former director commercial channel, alliance and SMB, Chris Hewlett, took up the role of director, enterprise sales - end user personal systems.
Hewlett announced the move on his LinkedIn profile, calling it a "very special milestone" in his HP career. He left the role after more than two years heading up the HP’s local channel business.
"I’m going back to my roots and re-joining the end user sales team for personal systems. I’m extremely happy to have the opportunity to lead such a talented team and am excited to continue to work with our fantastic partners and customers," Hewlett wrote at the time.
Rossney steps into her new role after more than 15 years at HP, during which time she has held numerous positions. She has, at various times, been wholesale business manager, channel manager and, most recently, national manager of distribution, small- and medium-sized business (SMB) and supplies (PC and print).
According to a spokesperson for the vendor, Rossney has been instrumental in HP’s distribution and channel business.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to lead the Commercial Channel team to strengthen and grow the relationship with our channel partners,” Rossney told ARN in a statement.
“I’ve been a core part of the channel team in my 15 years at HP and can’t wait to continue that partnership in my new role,” she said.
(Article updated on 6 November to clarify that Rossney will oversee just the Australian market in her new role, with the New Zealand market being managed locally by NZ-based HP personnel)
