Microsoft reveals updated features for Azure CSP program

The updated features will be available alongside the older program for "several months"

Microsoft has revealed the features available for Azure in its updated cloud solution provider (CSP) program, which is now live.

The features being made available through the Azure CSP program include access to a universal Azure services catalogue and a partner earned credit model.

Users will also have access to tools like customer management tools, such as Azure Lighthouse and cloud efficiency management tools through Azure Cost Management.

Devesh Satyavolu, head of revenue and growth at Microsoft Commercial Partner Group, claimed in a blog post that users will have the ability to do business with Microsoft through a “simplified” agreement framework.

In his post, Satyavolu said, "Today, we’re excited to share capabilities and resources available for you to start planning the transition to new commerce experience for Azure in the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program.

"This new experience enables you to grow your business on two fronts: 1) Acquire more customers supported by an enhanced selling experience; 2) Drive higher profitability through new capabilities and tools."

The new features of Microsoft’s updated Azure CSP program are available alongside the pre-existing program for “several months,” according to Satyavolu, giving users to integrate the updated features into their work process.

The latest additions to the Azure CSP program follow the announcement in June of this year that the updated Azure CSP program would feature a single, discounted pricing in American dollars.

According to Satyavolu, Microsoft will be presenting partner webinars in early December to explain the updated features.

“Our customers rely on trusted partners with industry specific skills and experiences to provide specialised assistance and services to accelerate this digital transformation, in turn driving business and growth opportunities for our partners,” he said.

“Microsoft strives to enable partners to grow and become a trusted advisor for our customers through product innovations, better tooling, and access to new business opportunities.”
