Government readies new tech channels for Marketplace release.
The government's ICT Marketplace will be boosted with multiple new channels and services over the coming year, including enterprise content management and security.
According to a release schedule on the Digital.govt.nz website, vendors and service providers can expect a new service Integration and managed services channel, which is being implemented now
The catalogues for that channel include service integration and managed services, cloud service brokerage, infrastructure support services and ICT professional services.
Parts of that channel appear to have been rolled out as part of the new managed services channel announced last week.
A new enterprise content management as a service channel is being implemented from next month including content services software, information services and managed content services.
A web content platform (digital experience) channel will be rolled out from November including digital experience software, DXS professional services and digital experience services.
A web professional services panel follows that from December with catalogues still to be confirmed.
Another big category, ICT security and related services, goes into design in November with implementation expected to commence next March. Again the catalogues are yet to be confirmed.
The Marketplace aims to simplify procurement and security assurance processes, allowing agencies to focus on value and citizen engagement and to gives agencies more choices and better to access innovation as well as reducing the costs and time of procurement.
